"B612 is the asteroid home of the Little Prince, character of the eponymous novel from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

According to the novel, the asteroid was discovered by a Turkish astronomer in 1909 but recognized only in 1920.

The asteroid's most prominent features are three minuscule volcanoes (two active, and one dormant or extinct) and a variety of plants including a rose.
